731. NISAR satellite completes commissioning phase, begins science operations
- On 30 November 2025, ISRO announced that the NASA–ISRO NISAR satellite, launched on 30 July 2025, has begun full science operations; NASA’s 9 m boom and 12 m radar reflector were deployed by 15 August via ISRO’s ISTRAC.
- The mission uses a shared radar reflector for S-band SAR (ISRO) and L-band SAR (NASA); S-band SAR has been imaging India since 19 August, calibrated with corner reflectors across Ahmedabad and other sites.
- Early data shows applications in agriculture, forestry, geosciences, hydrology, and cryosphere; first public images of the Godavari Delta were released by ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan on the satellite’s 100th day in orbit.

732. Govt launches fresh drive to rid highways of trash spots
- On November 28, 2025, the Goa government directed the Goa Waste Management Corporation (GWMC) to launch a major clean-up drive along 419 km of highways and district roads to tackle widespread roadside litter.
- A contractor will be appointed to collect plastic, paper, glass and other waste daily across three zones—north (129 km), central (155 km), and south (135 km)—with teams deployed every 35 km and waste sent to facilities in Saligao, Cacora, or Kundaim.
- The drive will cover 10 metres on both sides of the roads and includes cleaning underpasses, flyovers, dividers and service roads, with an estimated 12,989 km of road stretch to be cleared each month.

733. Kohima Peace Memorial & Eco Park inaugurated
- On November 28, 2025, the Kohima Peace Memorial and Eco Park—jointly developed by Japan and Nagaland—was inaugurated as a symbol of remembrance, reconciliation, and shared commitment to peace, rooted in the history of the Battle of Kohima.
- Chief Minister highlighted its emotional and historical significance, noting its connection to WWII sacrifices, Japan–Nagaland friendship, and ongoing Japan-assisted projects, urging citizens to preserve the site and learn from its message.
- the memorial, built on wartime ground, will support cultural promotion, women’s groups, biodiversity, and stands alongside global wartime landmarks like Hiroshima and Pearl Harbour.

734. Nagaland’s first end-to-end digital health model facility inaugurated at Dimapur hospital
- On November 28, 2025, Nagaland inaugurated its first fully digitised hospital the District Hospital Dimapur — under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), becoming the state’s first end-to-end Digital Health Model Facility.
- Commissioner and Secretary Anoop Khinchi said the model integrates modern infrastructure with ABDM tools, including the “scan and share” feature that allows patients to instantly share health records for faster and safer treatment.
- The facility digitises all patient services and connects the hospital with ABDM’s core systems: Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA), Health Facility Registry (HFR), and Health Professional Registry (HPR).
735. Defence Minister inaugurates solar hydrogen-based microgrid in Ladakh
- On November 28, 2025, the Defence Minister virtually inaugurated National Thermal Power Corporation's (NTPC) 3.7 megawatt solar-hydrogen-based microgrid at Chushul in Ladakh. The plant replaced the diesel generator sets currently used at off-grid Army locations and will provide a stable power supply.
- According to an NTPC statement, the project will eliminate the need for fuel transportation from the plains, enhance energy security, and reduce logistical challenges.
- It will also reduce carbon emissions and support a cleaner and more reliable energy system for the region by enabling local production and utilisation of green energy. Every three units of power generated will avoid carrying one litre of diesel to these remote Himalayan posts, NTPC stated.
736. Mazagon Dock delivers 'Taragiri' to Navy, fourth Nilgiri-class stealth frigate under Project 17A
- On November 28, 2025, Taragiri (Yard 12653), the fourth Nilgiri-class frigate under Project 17A and the third built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilding Ltd (MDL), was delivered to the Indian Navy in Mumbai.
- According to the Ministry of Defence, Project 17A frigates are versatile multi-mission platforms, designed to address current and future challenges in the maritime domain.
- Taragiri is a reincarnation of the erstwhile INS Taragiri, a Leander-class frigate that was part of the Indian Naval fleet from 16 May 1980 to 27 Jun 2013, rendering 33 years of glorious service to the nation. This state-of-the-art frigate reflects a quantum leap in naval design, stealth, firepower, automation, and survivability, and is a symbol of Aatmanirbharta in warship building, the Ministry noted.
737. New Jaisalmer-Delhi Swarn Nagari Express Flagged Off
- On November 29, 2025, the Railway Minister and the Union Tourism Minister inaugurated the new Jaisalmer-Delhi (Shakurbasti) train service, the Swarn Nagari Express, from the Jaisalmer Railway station in Rajasthan.
- The train service is scheduled to operate regularly from December 1, 2025. The development work at Jaisalmer station is expected to be completed within a month. Additionally, the line connecting Jaisalmer to Jodhpur will also be upgraded.
- The train will depart from Jaisalmer at 5:00 pm and arrive in Delhi at 4:30 am. The train will stop at Ashapura Gomat, Ramdevra, Phalodi, Marwar Lohawat, Osian, Jodhpur, Merta Road, Degana, Makrana, Kuchaman City, Nawan City, Fullera, Jaipur, Dausa, Alwar, Rewari, Gurugram, and Delhi Cantt. The name of the train, 'Swarn Nagari Express', comes from the name of the city of Jaisalmer, which is called Swarn Nagari or 'Golden City'.
738. J-K: LG lays foundation to rebuild 189 flood-hit homes in Ramban
- On November 29, 2025, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction of 189 homes in Ramban district, announcing that the flood-damaged houses will be rebuilt using resilient prefabricated technology with support from the NGO, HRDS-India.
- According to LG, the new structures would help restore stability for displaced families, noting, "The new homes will foster stability in the lives of flood-affected families & contribute to overall development of society. It is our commitment to eliminate social imbalances & disparities to ensure social and economic justice and secure the future of J&K UT."
- Earlier in April 2025, a landslide hit the Shan Palace area in Ramban district, Jammu and Kashmir, following heavy rains.
739. Government approves Tex-RAMPS Scheme to boost textile sector research and competitiveness
- On November 28, 2025, the Government approved the Tex-RAMPS Scheme a ₹305-crore, six-year Central Sector initiative fully funded by the Ministry of Textiles—to boost research, data systems, innovation and competitiveness across India’s textile sector.
- The scheme focuses on smart textiles, sustainability, advanced technologies, efficiency improvement, creation of robust data systems (India-Size study, supply-chain mapping, employment assessments) and establishment of the Integrated Textiles Statistical System for real-time analytics and evidence-based policymaking.
- Tex-RAMPS will support start-ups, incubators, State-level capacity building, workshops and industry–academia collaboration, with the government and industry bodies (including CITI) expecting major gains in innovation, global competitiveness, MSME strength, job creation and long-term sector resilience.

740. Centre clears ₹20,000 cr highway projects for Gujarat, Gadkari warns of zero tolerance on road quality
- On November 27, 2025, Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways has said that projects worth ₹20,000 crore have been approved for Gujarat under the National Highway Authority of India.
- With over 5,000 km of National Highways and an even larger network of State Highways, the state connects key economic corridors such as the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor, major ports including Kandla, Mundra and Pipavav, and industrial hubs like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot and Jamnagar.
- Union Minister Gadkari directed teams to complete all ongoing projects within stipulated timelines, while ensuring smooth and efficient road connectivity across major corridors.
